Life Without T.V

Well this is my first posting, I have been reading others and getting a real kick out of other peoples lives, especially my sister's. I am prone to talking a lot, so when I don't have anyone to babble at this may be helpful. My boyfriend Andy can tell if I haven't talked to anyone all day because he will come home after work and get bombarded with questions and pointless jabbering by me, poor guy!
Actually right now I am just really bored and my potatoes aren't done yet, so I thought I'd kill some time. You see, I am the only unfortunate soul I know who doesn't have t.v. I have a really nice big new television but not one darn channel. I really didn't think it would be that bad, we've been without one since August. I was doing a lot of reading and more productive things than sitting on the couch, and didn't miss it much, then came the new season of shows. Well now my friends are taping shows for me and I watch the tapes, sometimes over and over until I get a new one. It sounds pretty bad I know, it's like my life revolves around the lives of people on t.v. I haven't seen the Gilmore Girls or E.R all season, because I don't pick which shows I'm getting (beggars can't be choosers I guess), and yeah, and it's so sad that I don't know what's going on with Luke and Lorelei. Oh yeah, the reason I don't have any channels is ....well I don't know, it just sucks to be me. We should have about five channels but I just have blue screen. I have even watched blue screen for a whole night believe it or not! I miss you t.v!

Hi Jen,

Welcome to blogging! It's too bad about no tv, as some of the new shows are really good. ER is hit or miss and the Gilmore Girls has been pretty good. Check out Television Without Pity, as they have really good recaps.
