HollaWhat?

I was listening to some music today and Gwen Stefani came on and I am thinking, I have no idea what a Hollaback girl is. Can some tell me? Am I really dumb for not getting it?

The Roughnecks Rule!

Sunday, Andy and I went to the Lacrosse game at the Saddledome. Now we've been going to the games pretty faithfully for the last two years to support the Roughnecks, I didn't really know what lacrosse was before he took me to my first game on our first date (ahhhhh isn't that sweet!) I thought the big logo of the Roughneck in the middle of the turf was a monkey with a hard hat on, I thought it was weird they would have a picture of a monkey! I still think it looks like a monkey. Anyway, we would buy the cheap tickets (nosebleed section) you can get at the co-op last year they were $10. this year I think they are thirty something. So we decided to buy them from Ticketmaster right before we left for the game and got them emailed right to us so we wouldn't have to stand in line. I was thinking that something was wrong because we payed $30 each plus the taxes and stuff because on the seating arrangements they looked pretty good. The seats were wicked, club seats only five rows from the glass! We never had such good seats. It was awesome, and they totally killed Toronto and got a bye for the first round of the playoffs. But, there is always a but. I was sitting to this guy, who I don't think loved anything more than the Roughnecks. He yelled the whole game all the time, he had a sign that said something about the ref being blind, and he would stannd up on the arms of the chairs a row ahead of us to cheer ( I'm glad he didn't fall on me). To top it off, he was with his mom and they both had on the autographed jerseys. The best part was after all the fights ( there were lots of fighting, but I think I'm the only one in the world who doesn't like to watch people fighting, I think it's awful and really stupid, I never jumped the net in the middle of a tennis match to beat up my opponent, but oh well that's just me) Oh yeah after the fight, the guys mom said kinda loud, "You watch it Doyle, you're next" it was just odd and pretty funny to hear this mom say that.
Anyway it was a great game.
After the game, we went to The Home Depot and bought a bathtub. We are finally going to get this bathroom taken care of. It's really awful, now that there are ants that sometimes come out of somewhere and the drain was plugged, so it was like I was bathing with ants. T.M.I, sorry too gross eh.
On a final note, went to the Bowling Alley on Saturday for Andy's pool banquet. I was still sick so I didn't drink hardly at all, a lot of water. It was pretty fun, there was a band and I danced a little. Andy and I really need to take dance lessons (Andy= white boy, no rhythm). It was the owner's last night so it got pretty busy. Do you ever wish you could go back in time, just like five minutes earlier. We were just leaving and heading for the bar to pay our tab, when this drunk asshole slaps my ass so hard, I turned around in shock and disbelief and he said something that an asshole would say. Anyway, I was just shocked and my eyes started to water. We left, but they kicked him out right then, and I convinced Andy not to kill him. But I really wish I had walked back to this guy and kicked him in the groin as hard as I could. If I could only turn back time. I'm not much of a fighter, but I would have loved to make him cry!

I'm bored

Well I am still sick, Andy and I started getting sick last weekend and it still hasn't gone away. I'm the annoying one who keeps clearing my throat every five seconds, darn cold. All I did all week ( I couldn't go to work, because I don't want to infect anyone) was play xbox. I finally found a game that I really like, Links 2004, golf. I think I'm pretty good, I kept winning the tournaments, excuse me while I pat myself on the back! Anyway I was hooked, but I want to try the Tiger Woods golf game and see which is better.
Well right now puppy and I are just hangin out. She's awfully tired from working with Andy all day. I'm home, and a little bored. I was going to go and see my brother because I haven't seen them in over a week because I'm sick. I called, but I think they're screening and didn't answer! Oh well, I do it too.
I am kinda watching Growing Up Gotti, it's funny how the other half lives. I thought I'd never watch that show, but it's amazing what you'll watch when you only have two channels.
Tuesday nights are usually Andy's pool night, and I watch crap when he's not here. Now if you have never seen Dog the Bounty Hunter, I think you should, even just once! For those of you not familiar with this show,Dog is this guy in his fifties with a dyed bleach blond mullet and I think he has a bald spot on the top. He used to be a bad guy and has spent time in jail. Now it's like he was born again and just wants to help people. He runs Da Kine Bail Bonds in Hawaii, and when the Perps (A.K.A the bad guys) fail to show up for court or something he hunts them like wild animals. But the funny thing is when he has them in custody, he tries to show them that what they're doing is wrong and that he is just trying to help them straighten their lives out. He is very sincere and I think he really means it, but yeah kinda funny.
His whole family works with him, and his wife sure is a site. She is short and stout to put it nicely, she wears really small clothes and big heels and her um.....she puts Dolly Parton to shame! And boy is she feisty!
I do actually learn things on t.v too. I checked out Christine's pictures from Dubai, the Burj Al Arab and I watched, I think it was Super Structures or something like that, and I watched how they built it, very cool building. They show a lot of motorcycle shows and oddly I like to see them sometimes. The O.C.C (Orange County Choppers) made a bike that looked like a CAT, those yellow bulldozers and stuff, it turned out pretty cool.
I also like biography, one day I watched Biographies on Kentucky Fried Chicken (I actually watched it twice because it was on again a couple days ago) McDonalds and Taco Bell, now I know how they all started, and the trials and tribulations of there success.
I haven't seen the O.C or E.R or Gilmore girls ( I miss their endless banter) or any normal shows in months, I guess I'll have to get the seasons on DVD when they come out.
Well I guess I'll go back to watching the Gotti's.

Spring has sprung

I love spring. I am thinking I must have the winter blues disorder, because as soon as it got warmer and the sun stays out longer, I have a much better appreciation for things and everything just seems better. I think I need to go to Florida for the winters or something. I painted my kitchen (which I think turned out very nice), and I even got out and raked my yard last weekend. I've never raked unless I was forced to, but I could tell that it did look better, then I filled up my firepit and burned stuff (fun!). I love getting the fire going, nice and big, I think I must've inherited that from my dad.
Andy and I went camping two summers ago in BC, and we got to our site were setting up the tent, it was sometime in the afternoon. Andy was setting up the tent, so I decided to get the wood and start a fire. Well Andy was busy and didn't notice what I was doing. Finally he looked up and noticed that I had the fire going and it was huge and I was beside it pretending to get warm. He looked at me like I was retarted! He said "Jen, it's thirty degrees out, I thought you were just going to get the wood ready". Then I looked around at the other campers and I think they were pointing and laughing, but I didn't care. It was a great fire.
